Since 2021, the training project has brought to Alagoas leading names from different departments of Brazilian cinema. With a focus on providing access to specific and in-depth audiovisual education taught by relevant names in the sector, and on strengthening bridges between the local artistic scene and the rest of Brazil, Sala de Roteiros stands out as one of the most relevant audiovisual education projects in Alagoas. In 2024, in its third edition, the project will provide 180 hours of training and a project laboratory.
The first edition of the project took place in the first half of 2021 and was financed through the Aldir Blanc Law - Alagoas. Mixing virtual and in-person stages (which followed Covid prevention rules), the project focused on unraveling perspectives on stages of the script with professionals from different departments. In 2022 and 2023, the second edition was entirely in-person. Funded by the Audiovisual Sector Fund (FSA), the project included courses in editing, art direction, film acting, short film directing, and continuity.
Among the instructors who taught courses are Hilton Lacerda, Vera Hamburger, Daniel Tavares, Wilssa Esser, Mariana Souza, Cíntia Domit Bittar, Pethrus Tibúrcio, Evelyn Santos, Ale Tosi, Marianne Martins, Tomás von der Osten and René Guerra.
In 2024, the project reaches its largest version, with 180 hours of courses and a project laboratory.
